Vermont has a long history of supporting our communities and families through initiatives such as pushing for a true livable wage. The 2014 minimum wage increase and the 2016 earn sick days victories were a start to building a more sustainable future for the generations to come. But now is the time to take bold actions and raise the wage higher to bring our families, communities and the state into a stronger economic position.
The goal of this effort is to pass legislation in 2017 to bring us to a $15/hour minimum wage across the state by 2020. This legislation will pass by creating the political mandate for the incoming Vermont Governor and Legislature through grassroots organizing, public education and events, earned media and communications, as well as voter and candidate engagement.
Join us today in creating a stronger economy which will enhance the well-being of Vermont’s families and communities and provide a more sustainable future for the generations to come.
